Cabin Fever

I've been workin on a cabin for the past few weeks. Well, the project has been going on for a while now, but i was able to help out wih finishing the drywall, mudding and painting. It looks reeeeal nice. We're finally finished with the walls. YAAAAY! I'll have some pics of the walls with color on them soon. Now I've got to get back to packing for a 4 week trip to Switzerland.

yes, they are ridiculous. But, i have a wider field of vision while i work and now my expensive ones won't get wreked. The funny thing is that i just happened to choose the exact same frame as my grandfather's reading glasses. how wierd is that?

well, it's been quite a week. I spent last weekend in Napa Valley helping with a traditional Tibetan Buddhist ceremony for a friend's aunt who had passed away. The day i got home I got a message from my mom that my own aunt had past away and to prepare for her funeral the next day. It was a beautiful service. I will really miss her.

Since all of us cousins were in town we took the opportunity to have some much needed family time. We met up at Lisa and Doug's house in Silver Lake for an afternoon by the pool (and jumping on the trampoline).

Saturday was my grandpas 85th birthday. He shared his birthday with my aunt. It was a bitter sweet celebration. I was very happy to see everyone there.
